🐾 Rocco is a sensitive, sweet-natured boy 💖 with a lot of love to give — he just needs someone who truly understands him 🤝.
🧠 Rocco is intelligent but can be a bit strong-willed, especially on the lead 🐕🦺 — he pulls heavily, particularly in a harness, and is currently being introduced to a Halti to help manage this.
🏠 He’s fully house-trained and will settle nicely in a crate 🏡, especially if he goes in on his own terms (he’s highly food-motivated 🍗!).
🛋️ He’s not destructive in the home and hasn’t attempted to escape the garden 🌳, but he should only be let off-lead in secure areas 🔒. While he hasn’t been off-lead outside the property, he’s sociable in the garden with familiar dogs 🐕🐾.
⚠️ Rocco has displayed some minor resource guarding behaviours’ and doesn’t like being forced into situations — especially his crate — without incentive. He’s not aggressive by nature, but needs calm, clear guidance. With a structured, reward-based approach, he’s shown great progress and hasn’t had further issues 🙌.
🥣 His food preferences are still being worked out, and he’s currently on Gastrointestinal kibble due to a sensitive tummy 🩺🐾.
🏡 Rocco needs a calm, adult-only home 👩🦳🧑🦱 with someone patient and understanding of his sensitivities. He would thrive with a family experienced with Beagles or similar breeds 🐶, ideally with a secure garden 🌿 and no large male dogs 🚫🐕. He’s okay with calm females and smaller males ✅🐾.
