Thank you The Wirral and North Wales Beagle Group for their outstanding support

Huge thank you to Jenna Murphy and all at The Wirral and North Wales Beagle Group for their outstanding support with fundraising throughout this year!!

Thanks a million guys ??????

Here’s what Jenna had to say and some gorgeous photos too.

Wirral & North Wales Beagle Club

In April 2017 Karen Redfern & Christian Maddox started renting a field in Neston which allows all beagle owners to let their dogs run free for a couple of hours each week without any worries.

In September 2017 the club was named Wirral & North Wales Beagle Club. A caravan was purchased so people could buy hot & cold drinks as well as Bacon and Sausage baps. It has taken some time to build and form the club but what a great club it has turned out to be with over 300 members.

During the summer months the meets are on a Wednesday evening 6pm-8pm and Saturday morning 11am-1pm Top of Raby Park Road, Neston, CH64 9NQ

Currently we are just on Saturday meets at the moment and as soon as we have lighter evenings we will continue with the Wednesday meets as well. Due to the rent of the field for each meet and to store the caravan there, the club charges £5 per family to attend and any money that is left over after paying for the field and caravan and money made from the sale of food and drinks has been placed into a bank account to build pennies for the two charities that club has chosen to support, which are Beagle Welfare & Unite to care.

We also hold a speed bingo game once a month which allows the adults to have a bit of fun and to help raise more money.

A charity quiz night was held on Saturday 2nd December where just over 50 people attended and we raised £152 for Beagle Welfare. Raffle prizes were up for grabs and everyone had a great time and we have been asked when the next quiz night will be, so watch this space.
We also did a Christmas collection for all the beagles at centre for tins of food, big bags of dry food, toys, treats, blankets, collars & leads. We had collected that much we had to use two cars to deliver all the goodies to the rehoming centre. My husband Andy Murphy, Karen Redfern, Alan Redfern & Myself had the pleasure of meeting all the beagles at the rehoming centre when we did our delivery on Sunday 3rd December. In fact it was that much of a pleasure Karen & Alan decided to add a third beagle to their family home. Everything that was collected for this came from members of the Wirral & North Wales Beagle club, Rovers return dog day care centre with donations made from their clients & donations from friends and family.

We can confirm that the total raised by the club from Beagle Meets and the Quiz night the club have has raised together a total of £1000 for Beagle Welfare.

Wirral & North Wales Beagle club will continue raising money for the charities in 2018 with events already being planned.
