On Dec 16, Claire Parker organised a beagle Christmas walk, raising £740.75 for Beagle Welfare. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise money for the hounds.
Here’s what Claire had to say.
Each year I organise the North East Beagles Facebook group Christmas walk where members meet up at Druridge Bay in Northumberland for a walk along the beautiful quiet sandy beach. Once again, we had an amazing turn out with so many Beagles and their owners coming along to enjoy the morning running on the beach, the weather was beautiful with clear blue skies, we even had to take our coats off it was so warm!
We also held our yearly Christmas fundraising for Beagle Welfare where we have a raffle selling tickets through December and drawing the raffle on the Christmas walk. We had some fantastic prizes generously donated by companies to help us raise as much money as possible for the charity. We raised an incredible £740.75!
Thank you to the following who kindly donated prizes for our raffle: Fish4dogs, Friendship Collar, Lily Rose Handmade, Cobbydog, Remington, Lintbells, Sharmels, Beaus Boutique, P’ure Papaya Care, Green People Organic, Poppy Go, Russel Hobs, Pet Remedy, Soopa Pets, Kushel, Lilys Kitchen, Smells Lush, Natural Instinct, Skinners, Valspar, Rozanti, Posh Tags, Daisy Buds, Breeze Boo, Little Green Café, Whimzees and also all the members of North East Beagles who donated items such as wine, Prosecco and other great prizes.
Thank you to Brigette Taylor, Jasmine Ho, Julie Hewson, Julie Warner and Mark Parker for helping organise the walk and raffle. And a special thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and donated money to help us raise such a wonderful amount of money for Beagle Welfare.
