We adopted beautiful Duke from Helen Rogers in October 2012. He was only 9 months old but needed a lot of love and we had plenty to give.
He was a curious yet shy with terrible anxiety. With time he learnt to trust and knew that we’d never give up on him or let anyone hurt him.
He was a true beagle who howled, found ways to steal food, loved to sleep and he was amazing on walks.
At 5 years old we found that he was allergic to almost everything so with the help of special food, medicine and a lot of “Nooo Duke leave it”, we did our best to help with his itchy and sore skin.
In December we noticed a sudden swelling of his tummy, which turned out to be lymphoma and his health declined within days of finding out the results.
Duke left us heartbroken on Friday 15th December 2023, he was going to be 12 on the 3rd of January.
We miss our beautiful Dukie so much, things aren’t the same without him but it was a privilege to have him in our lives.
