Wilson
Wilson is a lovely tricolour beagle born on 8th July 2017. He is castrated, vaccinated, house-trained, and crate-trained, making him an easy boy to settle into a new home with the right guidance and routine.
About Wilson
Wilson is described as a really nice boy with a sweet nature. He is very food-motivated, which makes him highly trainable and eager to learn. He already knows several basic commands including sit, lie down, paw, and “here”, and responds well when treats are involved.
He thrives on companionship and has always lived with other dogs, so he is not used to being left completely alone. He would do best in a home where someone is around for much of the day or where he has suitable canine company.
Dog & Cat Social Skills
Wilson has lived with other dogs and is generally social. However, he does not get along with one specific male dog in his current home (his uncastrated son). Aside from this relationship, he has been good with other dogs and could potentially live with a compatible, well-matched companion following careful introductions.
On walks, Wilson can bark at other dogs. This appears to be reactivity rather than aggression, and given how food-driven he is, this is something that could be worked on with consistent positive training.
He has previously lived with two cats and managed well with them.
👨👩👧👦 Children
Wilson has not lived with children. For this reason, a calm adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children would likely suit him best.
🏡 Ideal Home
Wilson would thrive in:
- A home with company for most of the day
- Owners willing to continue positive reinforcement training
- A calm, structured environment
- Possibly another compatible dog
Wilson is a handsome, affectionate beagle who simply needs the right match and understanding home. With routine, patience, and reward-based guidance, he has all the makings of a wonderful, loyal companion.
