Starsky is a tri colour male, born on 25th July 2014. He needs a new home as his owner is emigrating and unable to take him. Starsky is vaccinated and microchipped.
Starsky will need a very understanding home, as he has a history of epilepsy. He is not currently on medication as he will only have one or two episodes per month, which his vet does not prescribe any medication for. If this situation changes in the future, Beagle Welfare may be able to contribute to veterinary costs.
Starsky is happy to go for a walk, as long as it’s not by the sea, and wears a harness to keep him under control. He can be let off lead and will come back to you. He is used to travelling. Starsky has never shown aggression to another person or dog, and greets them politely before initiating a friendly game of chase.
At home, Starsky is house trained, but has never used a crate. He can be left alone for a few hours. He is not destructive, and has never tried to escape from his secure garden. He is good at opening doors with handles. If he steals an item, he will give it back when asked.
Starsky’s owner thinks he could live with cats, and he has interacted well with visiting children, so dog-experienced children could be part of his new home. He enjoys a game of football, so would love to be part of an active household. Starsky’s epilepsy doesn’t seem to bother him, because he is a well behaved and affectionate boy, who loves his food and a good fuss as much as any beagle does!
