Snoopy – 13 Month Old Male Beagle Looking for the Right Home

Snoopy is a handsome 13-month-old male Beagle with a classic white and red coat and a fun-loving personality. He’s a bright, active young dog who enjoys playtime, especially with a ball, and absolutely loves his treats!

The Basics

  • Age: 13 months (DOB: 10/03/2025)
  • Sex: Male (not neutered)
  • Weight: 18kg
  • Health: No known health issues
  • Microchipped: Yes

At Home

Snoopy is house trained and crate trained, and he currently sleeps happily in his crate. He can be left alone for short periods (around 2 hours) and settles well.

Exercise & Training

Snoopy wears a harness and enjoys his walks, although he can pull a little on the lead. Like many Beagles, his recall is not reliable, so he cannot currently be let off lead.

He hasn’t attended formal training classes yet but is a young dog with lots of potential in the right hands.

Important Information

Snoopy shows resource guarding behaviour, particularly around high-value items such as food or toys. He does not like items being taken from him and may react if this is attempted.

Because of this, Snoopy would be best suited to:

  • An adult-only home
  • An experienced owner who understands or is willing to work on resource guarding

This behaviour is manageable with the right training and guidance, and Snoopy would benefit greatly from continued positive reinforcement training.

Other Animals

  • Dogs: Generally good – can be a little cautious on lead at first but settles well. Off lead, he interacts very well. Could potentially live with another dog.
  • Cats: Unknown (has not been tested)

Personality & Likes

  • Loves treats and snacks
  • Enjoys playing with a ball
  • Typical curious and energetic Beagle
  • Can be a bit cheeky and may dig in the garden

Dislikes

  • Doesn’t like the hoover
  • Not a fan of baths or grooming
  • Not keen on wet food

The Right Home for Snoopy

Snoopy is a young, affectionate dog who will make a fantastic companion in the right home. He needs an owner who understands Beagles and is committed to continuing his training—especially around resource guarding.

With patience, consistency, and the right environment, Snoopy has all the potential to thrive and become a wonderful lifelong companion.
