Snoop Ref 3532

Snoop – 11-Year-Old Tri-Colour Beagle

Snoop is an affectionate, laid-back beagle who enjoys the quieter things in life. At home he loves nothing more than finding a cosy spot to sleep, whether that’s at the top of the stairs or in his crate, but don’t let his age fool you—he still enjoys getting out for long walks and exploring with his nose. Like many Beagles, once he’s following an interesting scent he can become completely absorbed, so although he can be let off lead once trust and recall have been established, his new family will need to remember that his nose often takes priority over his ears!

He walks nicely on a harness, travels brilliantly in the car, is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and can happily be left alone for up to six hours when needed. Snoop is also wonderfully easy-going with other dogs and could happily live with a canine companion.

He has a sweet, gentle nature around people and has never shown aggression, other than occasionally when having his nails clipped. He does have a mischievous streak and enjoys stealing the odd item, although he’ll happily drop it when asked and doesn’t resource guard.

As you would expect from a Beagle, Snoop absolutely loves food. He’s currently enjoying a successful weight-loss programme on his tailored Tails diet and receives one meal a day consisting of wet and dry food. He’ll happily eat almost anything if given the chance, so food needs to be kept safely out of reach.

Snoop would be happiest in a home without cats, as he has previously not got along with them. He much prefers the company of people and other dogs and particularly seems to bond well with women.

The Home Snoop Needs

Snoop would suit someone looking for an affectionate, low-maintenance companion who enjoys a good walk followed by an even better nap. He would thrive with owners who understand the Beagle love of food and scent work and who are happy to continue managing his diet and occasional mischievous habits.

Despite his age, Snoop still has plenty of love to give. He is a kind, loyal boy who deserves a stable retirement home where he can enjoy comfort, companionship, tasty treats (in moderation!) and plenty of adventures before curling up for a well-earned snooze.
