Meet Phoebe – a sweet and loving Beagle
Name: Phoebe
Age: 4 years (born July 2021)
Tri-colour
Sex: Female – spayed
About Phoebe:
Phoebe is a kind and affectionate Beagle who loves cuddles and spending time with people. She’s friendly, playful, and enjoys being part of family life.
Health:
Phoebe is healthy but a little overweight.
Personality:
Phoebe is gentle and enjoys company. She can guard her toys or items if approached while she has them, so she needs calm, confident owners who understand resource guarding and can help her feel secure.
Training & Routine:
- Housetrained and crate trained
- Walks well on a harness
- Good recall off-lead
- Can be left alone for up to 6 hours
- Eats twice a day (Canagan dog food)
- Sleeps in her crate in the kitchen
Good with:
- Other dogs – friendly and playful
- Children – Older children would be best due to some of her guarding issues
- Travelling – used to car journeys
Needs work with:
- Resource guarding (best to trade items rather than take them away)
- Avoiding destructive behaviour when bored
Likes:
- Walks and playtime
- Cuddles and human attention
Ideal home:
Phoebe would love a home where she gets plenty of love, time, and calm guidance. She could live with another friendly dog and children who respect her space.
Reason for rehoming:
Her owner’s longer working hours and a house move mean Phoebe isn’t getting the attention she needs, and her guarding behaviour has increased.
