Odin

Odin

Odin is a tricolour male, born on 20th May 2020.  He is looking for a new home as his owner is having to move away for work and cannot take Odin with him.  Odin is vaccinated and microchipped.

Odin goes for a walk with his lead clipped to his collar, and can pull on the lead if he sees another dog he wants to say hello to.  He has been let off lead in secure areas only, although he uses a long line with his dog walker to give him some freedom.  Odin is happy to travel in the car, and will sit in the front or the back of the car.  He has never shown aggression to people, but is wary of unfamiliar dogs after being attacked twice by off lead dogs when he was younger.  Once he is happy with the other dog, he is fine, and he really enjoys his group dog walks.

At home, Odin is house trained but does not use a crate unless he’s going to be left at home on his own.  He can be left in his crate for a few hours if you need to go out without him.  While Odin is not a destructive dog, he can chew up his blankets in his crate if you leave him alone for too long.  He has never tried to escape from his secure garden.  Odin is partial to stealing a sock from the laundry to get your attention, but will give it back when told to.

Odin has never lived with cats, and likes to chase the ones he has met, so needs to join a cat free home.  While he does currently live with a child, his owner thinks he is a bit too boisterous around youngsters, so older children with dog owning experience could be part of his new home.  He has quite a sensitive stomach, and has only been able to tolerate a raw food diet or home cooked chicken or steak.  Odin loves his people, so needs to join a home where he’ll have plenty of company throughout the day.  He loves to play with rope toys, treat dispensing toys, and go for long walks.  While he does have his own bed, he has perfected the art of sneaking onto his owners’ bed during the night without anyone noticing.
