Daisy & Louie

Daisy and Louie are a bonded pair looking for a home where they can stay together. After living together all their lives, these affectionate beagles rely on each other’s company and would love to find a family who can offer them the time, companionship and walks they deserve.

At 11 years old, Daisy is a lively, affectionate girl who still has plenty of enthusiasm for life. Although slightly overweight, she remains full of energy. She has a couple of small fatty lumps that have been checked by the vet and are of no concern. Daisy walks nicely on a harness with only light pulling and is friendly and calm around other dogs. She is excellent with children of all ages, has never shown aggression towards people, enjoys playing with balls, tug toys and gentle play-fighting games, and loves being close to her people while still having an independent streak.

Nine-year-old Louie is the larger of the pair and very much the lovable, cuddly clown. He is also overweight and occasionally suffers from ear infections, but otherwise enjoys good health. Louie pulls more strongly on the lead than Daisy but settles into a better pace once walking. He adores belly rubs, cuddles and playtime, often sleeping upside down with complete contentment. Like Daisy, he has never shown aggression towards people.

Both dogs are fully housetrained, travel calmly in the car, and are happy sharing their home with each other. They have previously mixed well with other dogs at Beagle meets and could potentially live with another friendly dog following suitable introductions. They are typical food-loving beagles who enjoy treats, pig’s ears and tasty additions to their meals. Neither is destructive, both love cuddles, and they settle wherever their family is, whether that’s on their own beds or beside you.

As with many bonded pairs, Daisy and Louie complement each other beautifully. They would thrive in a home where someone is around more often, can help them lose a little weight through regular walks, and most importantly, will keep them together. In return, they promise double the affection, double the beagle charm, and two loyal companions who simply want to spend their golden years enjoying life with a family once again.
