Lara is a tricolour female, born on 23rd May 2020. She is looking for a new home as her owner’s working commitments have increased. Lara is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
Lara is walked on a figure 8 lead, as she can pull on the lead. She can be let off lead on walks as long as there are not too many distractions around her. Lara is not a huge fan of travelling in the car. She has never shown aggression to other people or dogs, and loves to meet other dogs when she’s out for a walk.
At home, Lara is house trained and crate trained, and can be left on her own for a few hours if you need to go out without her. Lara can be destructive if bored, so would need to be well occupied throughout the day. She is unlikely to stray too far from home if she gets out of a garden gate, as she can be quite anxious if she doesn’t know where she is. If Lara steals an item, she may be hesitant to surrender it at first, but she will trade it for a treat.
Lara has never lived with a cat, and her owner is unsure how she would react to being with one, so would probably prefer a cat free home. She has lived with teenage children, so older children with dog owning experience could be part of her new home. She has been a bit boisterous with younger children. Lara can be quite anxious in unfamiliar situations, or when crossing a busy road, so her ideal home would be one which isn’t in a bustling town with lots of traffic. She is still quite young in her outlook on life, and enjoys learning, so a family who have time to teach her tricks and commands would be a benefit. Lara is happiest in a warm, sunny spot, with a tasty bone to chew on.
