About Jolene

Jolene Video https://youtu.be/W5D-P5xestM

Jolene is a tan and white female, born on 20th March 2012.  Jolene is looking for a new home where she will be the only dog in the household.  She is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Jolene is happy to go for a walk on her lead, but will pull if she detects an interesting scent she’d like to investigate.  She can be let off lead, and will definitely come back to you if you have a ball to throw for her to catch.  Jolene likes to travel in the car, either in the boot of the car or sitting on one of the seats, and will bark at the people she sees from the car.  This is more of an anxiety-based behaviour than anything aggressive, and she will stop when you reassure her that she’s safe with you.  Jolene likes to be the leader of any group of dogs, especially if there’s a ball involved, and will try to bark at them to put them in their place.

At home, Jolene is house trained but has not used a crate since she was a puppy.  She is happy to be on her own for a few hours if you need to go out.  Jolene is not destructive, but will think nothing of taking a sniff in the pockets of any jackets she finds in her house, in case there are snacks in them.  This cheeky girl is a fan of bin raiding, so bins would need to be out of her way! She would require a secure garden, as her owner thinks that she is curious enough to take herself out for a walk if she found an open gate.  If Jolene steals an item, you can tell her to drop it and she will.

Jolene has not lived with cats, so her new home must be cat free and she must be the only dog in the home.  While Jolene has previously been fine with children, there has been an isolated incident where she objected to how a child had touched her, and she snapped at the child.  Because of this, there must be no younger children in the household; however, older teenage children, who had experience of dog ownership, could be considered, as they should be more aware of how to handle dogs.  Jolene is a big fan of sunbathing, so would love to be part of a home where she can stretch out and catch some rays in comfort with either her favourite blanket, or her favourite people.
