Frankie is a four year old tri colour male, who is looking for a new home due to a change in his owners’ circumstances.  He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Frankie enjoys walking on his own or with another dog, and while he can pull, he walks nicely on the lead.  He has not been let off lead unless he is in a secure environment, as attempts to recall him were not overly successful.  Frankie travels well in the car, and is happy to sit back and enjoy a chew while you drive.  While Frankie is not an aggressive dog, he is protective of his home, and must be carefully introduced to visitors to avoid upsetting him.  He has never shown aggression to another dog, but will bark at other dogs he sees to let them know he has arrived.

At home, Frankie is house trained, but has never used a crate.  He can be left alone for a few hours, but any longer than this and he will become bored and destructive.  While he has never tried to escape from his secure back garden, he is an intelligent boy who will look for potential escape routes.  If Frankie steals an item, he will give it back when told off.

Frankie has never lived with a cat, so his new home should be one without cats.  He has lived with teenage children, so he could live in a family which included older children.  Frankie loves playing with a tennis ball more than anything, and has really enjoyed long distance walking, so an active family who could keep him on his toes and tire him out would be ideal for him.  He is a very devoted family member, and will be very happy to be part of a loving and affectionate household.
