Floyd is a tricolour male, born on 9th December 2014. He is looking for a new home as the arrival of a new baby in his home means that his owners cannot give him the time which they would like. Floyd is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
Floyd goes for walks twice a day, wearing a harness which keeps his pulling under control. He has not been let off lead unless it is in a secure area. Floyd is happy to travel in the car. While Floyd was never aggressive in the past, he has been involved in one incident where he snapped at someone. He has never shown aggression to other dogs, and always barks excitedly when he sees a dog he wants to say hello to.
At home, Floyd is house trained but has not used a crate. He can be left at home by himself for a few hours if you need to go out without him. He can be destructive if he gets bored, so it’s important to make sure he has something to do. Floyd has never tried to escape from his secure garden. If Floyd steals an item, he can be protective of it, so some knowledge of resource guarding might be useful for his new owners.
Floyd has never lived with cats, so would prefer a cat free home. Until recently, Floyd’s home was with adults only, and he enjoyed this greatly, so he would like to join a home with adults only, or perhaps with older children who would be calm and let him get on with things in peace. He likes a chilled out atmosphere. The arrival of a new baby has upset Floyd, so a home with young children is not recommended. He likes to have a close relationship with his people, cuddling up to them and just being together. His favourite games are tug of war, or hunting for hidden snacks. He enjoys going out twice a day, and being let off lead to run around happily, although his selective hearing means that this cheeky boy might conveniently fail to hear you when you call him back!
