Ellie

About Ellie

Ellie is a one year old tri-colour female.  She has come to Beagle Welfare from another rescue centre, so we do not have a great deal of information about her, such as her exact birthday.  She is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.

Ellie is a bouncy and energetic character, whose idea of a great day is 24 hours of solid playtime.  Because of her high energy levels, she would do well in a home where she will have another dog to play with, and ideally this would be a male dog who would be just as happy to play., and let Ellie be in charge.

Because we don’t know her background, or how she is around children, Ellie’s new home must be a child free one.  She does have some low level resource guarding issues when it comes to toys and food, which is why we would prefer her new owners to be familiar with beagles and how to manage their quirks.  Patience will be key for everyone in the home, as Ellie is not particularly used to being handled, and is collar shy.  Once she gets to know people, and they can understand her signals, she’s very loyal and loving, and very quickly won over the kennel staff with her charming personality.

Ellie will need a very beagle and experienced home and somebody willing to give her the time and patience she will need to learn to become a great dog.
