Ed is a tri colour male, born 24th February 2016, who is looking for a new home as he is no longer getting on with the other dog in his family. He is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.Ed is a very intelligent dog, who walks nicely on a Halti lead. He pulls on a normal lead, but walking on the Halti has been more successful. He has no experience of being off lead, so this is something a new owner could work to develop with him.He is house and crate trained, and can be left alone for a few hours. Left alone for longer than a few hours, he shows his distress by becoming destructive, so he would need a home where he gets lots of reassurance and attention. He has never tried to escape from his home.Ed travels well in the car, whilst Ed is nice to other dogs when he’s out and about he can be funny with certain dogs at times. Ed would be best suited to a calm, adult only home where he is the only pet. He loves to be cuddled, and has lots of tricks to demonstrate. He wants a family of his own where he will get lots of walks and interaction, and in return, he will be a loyal and devoted family member. Ed will need an experienced beagle owner and somebody with he patience to give him time to settle, Ed needs his new owner to work with him on a few of his issues, he is not keen on being told what to do or if you want him to do something, he can be snappy, so needs a confident owner to be firm but fair with him and use only positive training methods like distraction and food. He would benefit from an active owner who is keen to do some activity with Ed or extra training.
