Doug is a one year old Tan and white male, who is looking for a new home due to a change in his family’s circumstances. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Doug is an enthusiastic walker, who is currently walked using a harness. He walks very nicely on his lead, although he can pull if he sees something which catches his attention. He can be let off lead, but will disappear off after a scent and only return when he’s ready. Doug has taken short journeys in the car without any trouble. Doug is a friendly boy, who has never shown aggression to another dog or person.
At home, Doug is house trained and crate trained, and can be left alone for a few hours in a beagle-proofed room. He can be destructive if he gets bored, and is partial to the occasional shoe theft, although he will give the shoe back if asked. He has never tried to escape from his secure garden.
Doug has never lived with cats or young children, but has spent time with both. He could live with an adult only family, or a family with older children, as he has been very excitable around young children. He would love to meet a family who have time to play tug of war with him and his toys, and allow him to continue meeting lots of new dogs. He loves to be the centre of attention, and will give you lots of affection in return.
