Coby is a gentle, affectionate six-year-old beagle looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy plenty of companionship and relaxation. Cody adores cuddles, soft blankets and curling up on the sofa, and will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend.
Coby is fully housetrained, crate trained, travels well in the car and can happily be left alone for around four to six hours. He walks on a harness and, although he can pull when he spots other dogs, he is generally a pleasure to walk. He can enjoy off-lead exercise in suitable secure areas, but like many beagles, his recall can become selective if another dog appears and he decides it’s time to play.
A sociable boy, Coby loves meeting other dogs and has never shown aggression towards them. He could happily live with another friendly dog or equally enjoy being the only dog in the home. Around people he is affectionate, placid and loving, never having shown aggression or bitten anyone. He simply prefers a calmer environment where he isn’t overwhelmed by constant activity.
Like any self-respecting beagle, Coby is extremely food motivated and will happily investigate worktops or tables if food is left unattended. He eats twice daily. He has no significant health concerns, although he can occasionally develop a mild red rash underneath during seasons, which has been checked by the vet and is not considered a cause for concern.
Coby enjoys playing, often accompanied by classic beagle howls, before settling down for a snooze on the sofa or among his favourite pillows and blankets. He is a loving, gentle soul who simply wants to be close to his people.
Coby would thrive in an adult-only home, or one with older, dog-savvy children who can understand when he would like a little space. In return, his new family will gain a devoted, affectionate companion who has so much love left to give.
