Callie and Buster

Callie and Buster

Under certain circumstances this pair could be rehomed seperatley

Callie and Buster are a pair of unrelated Tricolour Beagles looking for a home together as a bonded pair.  Callie was born on 15 October 2012 and Buster was born on 11 March 2011.  They are both microchipped, neutered and vaccinated.

Work commitments have meant that their previous owner was unable to continue giving them the care and attention they need.   Callie and Buster are currently living in a foster home, as they were unhappy being in a kennel environment.

Buster and Callie both walk very well on lead and love to go out for walks.  They have also enjoyed Beagle playdates with their foster family, where they can run free in an enclosed field.  Buster is the more sociable and out going one of the pair, he loves to run and play with other dogs.  Although much less playful, Callie is happy to meet other dogs while out and about.  They are kept on lead unless they are in a secure area.

At home, both are fully housetrained and haven’t had any accidents in their foster home.

Although they are a bonded pair, Callie and Buster are independent of eachother and happy to do their own thing during the day.  They both love human attention and cuddles and particularly enjoy sharing their humans’ bed at night.  In some situations within the home, Callie can become possessive of people and items.   Callie’s foster family are working on this anxiety with her, however it is likely a behaviour that will need some managing on a permanent basis.

Callie and Buster will need a family where someone is around for most of the day.   Buster in particular does suffer from separation anxiety and, although he is able to be left for a couple of hours, he does become distressed if left any longer.  Their foster family is working on helping Buster to become more comfortable and his anxiety is lessening.  Currently when they are left, Callie stays in a crate and Buster does not as he is less anxious outside of a crate.

They enjoy being outside in the garden, especially when the sun is out and will potter around and then sleep for hours quite happily.  They will need a secure garden with minimum 5ft fencing as Buster can jump, although neither have attempted to escape their foster home.  Both Callie and Buster have occasionally stolen items but will swap for a treat without any issues.

Buster and Callie would prefer an adult only home, although visiting children would be fine, as long as the children are supervised and dog savvy.
No Cats or small furries please.

Callie and Buster qualifie to be a golden oldie, this means any age related problems Beagle Welfare will help with the vetinary costs.
