About Blossom

Blossom is a gentle, affectionate beagle with a lovely temperament. She enjoys human company, cosy spaces, and a steady routine. During the day she relaxes on the sofa, and at night she happily sleeps in her crate, which she sees as her safe space.

She is house-trained, crate-trained, and settles well when left alone for up to four hours.

Reason for Rehoming

Due to a relationship breakdown, house move, and starting a new full-time job, Blossom’s owner is no longer able to provide the time and stability she deserves. This has been a very difficult decision made with Blossom’s welfare in mind.

Training & Behaviour

  • Walks on a lead
  • Can be let off lead, although this would need to be built up gradually in a new environment
  • Not destructive, though she does enjoy investigating bins
  • If she steals something, she prefers to trade it for a treat rather than having it taken directly

Her reaction to other dogs on lead can be unpredictable, and she may bark at larger dogs. However, off lead she generally interacts well once comfortable.

🐾 Social Life

  • No aggression towards people
  • Has lived with teenagers and is comfortable around older children
  • Can be wary of men initially but settles with reassurance
  • Could possibly live with another calm, compatible dog
  • Probably not suitable for a home with cats, as she is fearful of them

She is happy to be stroked while eating and has no food-related issues.

Feeding

Blossom eats Langhams dog food twice daily (7–8am and 5–6pm).

Personality & Likes

  • Loves tug of war
  • Enjoys being stroked and brushed
  • Affectionate and people-focused
  • Gets excited when visitors arrive but settles quickly
  • Prefers not to be disturbed while people are eating

Ideal Home

Blossom would thrive in a calm, stable home where she can enjoy companionship, routine, and gentle exercise. She is a loving, loyal beagle who simply needs understanding and consistency as she transitions into her new chapter.
