Meet Billy
Billy is a handsome five-year-old Tri Colour, with a calm, affectionate nature.
Billy is a friendly, easy-going boy who enjoys spending time with people. He loves nothing more than relaxing beside you while you watch television and is happiest when he can simply be part of family life. He also enjoys his walks and is always pleased to meet new people along the way.
He walks beautifully on a harness and is not a puller, making him a pleasure to take out. Billy can be let off lead in suitable secure areas, although like many beagles he is very food motivated and may be tempted to follow the scent of something tasty if given the opportunity.
Billy is house-trained, settles well at home and can be left for afew hours if needed. He is not crate trained and is not particularly keen on travelling in the car, but he is otherwise a very straightforward companion. He is not destructive and has never shown aggression towards people.
Billy is a sociable dog who gets on well with other dogs both on and off lead and could happily live with another canine companion. He has never lived with cats but has shown little interest in them when visiting other homes.
As you would expect from a beagle, Billy enjoys his food and will happily help himself if given the chance, so food is best kept safely out of reach. He is currently carrying a little extra weight but with sensible feeding and regular exercise he should gradually return to a healthier weight.
Billy is a gentle, companionable boy with a lovely temperament who asks for very little in return for the love he gives. He would suit a home looking for an affectionate, relaxed beagle who enjoys good walks, plenty of company and a comfortable place to curl up at the end of the day.
