Bertie
Bertie is an 8-year-old tan and white beagle with a heart as big as his floppy ears.
Described as a laid-back and affectionate boy, Bertie enjoys his walks but isn’t in any rush – in fact, his owner says he’s a little on the lazy side! He walks happily on a harness and loves exploring at his own pace.
Bertie is house-trained, crate-trained and is happy to be left for up to six hours if needed. He travels well in the car and has reliable recall in safe areas away from roads, making him a lovely companion for countryside adventures.
One of Bertie’s greatest qualities is his wonderful temperament. He has never shown aggression towards people or other dogs and has happily stayed with friends who own dogs. When he meets other dogs on walks, he’s calm and polite, often sitting and waiting or simply standing still to let them have a sniff.
Bertie could happily live with another friendly dog or be just as content soaking up all the attention as an only dog.
He is in good health, has no known medical conditions and is ready to find a family who will love him as much as he deserves.
If you’re looking for a gentle, easy-going companion who will happily join you for walks before curling up beside you for a snooze, Bertie could be the perfect addition to your family.
