Benji is a six year old tri colour male, who needs a new home as his circumstances have changed. He is vaccinated and microchipped.
Benji walks nicely on the lead, and does not pull. He can be let off lead, as he has good recall. Benji doesn’t have much experience of travelling, so this is something which his new family could build up with him. Benji has never shown aggression to other dogs or people, although he can find larger breed dogs intimidating. When he’s off lead with other dogs, he loves to play, and behaves very nicely with them.
At home, he is house trained, but has not used a crate since he was a puppy. He can be left on his own for a few hours and is not destructive. He has never tried to escape from his secure garden. He is not great at giving back stolen items, and would need some training on how to exchange them for a treat.
While Benji has never shown any aggression to children, his owner reports that Benji is showing jealous behaviour now that grandchildren visit on a daily basis, so Benji’s new home must be a calm environment with adults only. He has never lived with cats, so it would be best if his new home was one without cats. Benji loves to play chase with a ball and having a belly rub. He is a loyal and loving family dog, who wants to be involved in everything you do, and is a fantastic family pet.
