Belle is a three year old tri colour female, who needs a new home as her owner’s working hours have changed. She is microchipped.
Belle is very enthusiastic when she’s out on walks, and the best way to keep her safe is with a harness and/or a Halti. She responds well to an assertive leader and walks nicely. Belle has been let off lead in secure fields only. Belle is an experienced traveller, and is happy to travel in a car crate or on the seat of a car. Belle is always excited to meet other dogs, and has not shown aggression to another person or dog, but she can be possessive of her food bowl at dinner time, which is why we cannot rehome her to a family with young children.
At home, Belle is house trained and crate trained. She can be left on her own in her crate for a few hours. Belle is not destructive, as long as she has company or entertainment. If she steals an item, she will return it to someone who she views as a good leader. She has never tried to escape from her secure garden.
Belle is used to living with older children, and has never lived with a cat, so her ideal home would be a cat free family with adults only, or adults with older children, who would be at home with her for most of the day. Due to her protectiveness of her food bowl, it would be good if her new home had experience of managing dogs with this sort of behaviour. She is a big fan of playing, and would love to be in a home where she could share lots of off secure, off lead adventures with her people.
