Bailey is a 13 year old tri colour male, who is looking for a new home as his owner’s work and family commitments have changed. He is neutered and microchipped. Bailey walks nicely on his harness. He likes being off lead in enclosed fields or parks. He is used to travelling. Bailey is enjoying his golden years, and would like a calm home to retire to. While Bailey is good with dogs he meets off lead, he can be wary of unfamiliar dogs, especially large breed dogs. If Bailey is pushed out of his comfort zone, he might air snap to indicate he’s unhappy, so his new family would need to accommodate a few “Victor Meldrew” tendencies as they get to know him. At home, Bailey is house trained and crate trained, and can be left alone for a few hours. He can occasionally be destructive. If he steals an item, the best way to get it back from him is to distract him with something else, and he will lose interest in the stolen item. Bailey would be happy to live with a cat, and has lived with a child, although as he can be grouchy, we would prefer to rehome him to an adult only family, or one with older children who will understand the need to respect his space. Bailey suffers from epilepsy, which is well controlled with a daily tablet.
