Meet Alfie 💙

If you’re looking for a loving companion with plenty of character, Alfie could be the perfect addition to your family.
Alfie is a friendly, affectionate beagle who loves being around his people. He’s housetrained, enjoys travelling in the car and walks well on a lead. He has attended training classes and can be left for a few hours when needed.
One of Alfie’s favourite things is playing with his toys, although once he’s chosen a favourite, he’ll happily carry it around with him! He’s a real foodie (as most beagles are!) and loves treats – ask him to “speak” and he’ll happily show off his party trick in exchange for a tasty reward.
Alfie enjoys relaxing in the garden, but like many determined beagles, he is an accomplished escape artist and can squeeze through surprisingly small gaps. His new home will need a very secure garden with no escape routes.
He has previously lived with another dog and could do so again, depending on introductions. Cats wouldn’t be suitable as Alfie is known to chase them.
Alfie has fatty lumps, which are common in older dogs, but these are not currently causing him any problems. He also had a seizure in 2022 but has had no further episodes since.
