Meet Pablo

Pablo is a handsome 13-month-old tricolour Beagle who is looking for a new home through no fault of his own.

Pablo is a young dog who loves going for walks and exploring the great outdoors. He needs an adult-only home with people who can provide the time, patience, structure and training he needs to develop into a happy and well-adjusted companion.

Training and Behaviour

Pablo is housetrained and crate trained, can travel in the car and can be left alone. He wears a harness for walks and is not currently let off lead.

As a young Beagle, Pablo needs continued training to help him learn boundaries, respond reliably to commands and listen to his handler. His owner feels he would benefit from further help with his training, particularly as he can struggle when told “no”.

Pablo’s behaviour has become a serious concern, as he has shown aggression towards people and has bitten. His current carers have become frightened of him and are no longer able to manage him safely. This history must be taken seriously, and any prospective home will need to understand his needs and seek appropriate professional behavioural support.

Pablo’s response when items are taken from him is also a concern, as his owner reports that these cannot be taken away from him safely.

People and Children

Pablo is not suitable for a home with children. His owner feels he would be best suited to an adult-only household where his behaviour can be managed consistently and safely.

Any new home must be prepared to give Pablo clear, fair boundaries without confrontation and to work with a suitably qualified, reward-based behaviour professional.

Other Dogs

Pablo has not shown aggression towards other dogs, although he becomes excited when approaching them on the lead. His owner feels he could live with another dog.

However, he is never let off lead, so his behaviour during off-lead interactions is unknown. Any introductions to a resident dog should be carefully managed, with the dogs given time and space to become comfortable with one another.

Cats

Pablo is not considered suitable for a home with cats.

Food and Feeding

Pablo is currently fed Earl’s beef in jelly. His owner has indicated that food is a consideration in his behaviour, although further assessment would be needed to understand his responses around food and other valued items.

Careful management around food and possessions will be important in his new home.

Home Life and Things He Enjoys

Pablo loves walks and exploring the countryside and other outdoor environments. He is a young Beagle who needs suitable exercise, opportunities to sniff and explore, and activities that provide mental stimulation.

He sleeps in his crate at home and is described as being able to travel and stay alone.

Health

Pablo’s last recorded vaccination was 23 March 2026, and he was last wormed on 10 October 2026. He is not castrated. No health issues have been specified in the information provided.

Pablo’s Ideal Home

Pablo needs an adult-only home with experienced, committed owners who understand that his biting history and behavioural difficulties will require careful management. His new family must be prepared to work with a qualified behaviour professional and provide consistent, reward-based training.

A home without children or cats is essential. Any resident dog would need to be introduced carefully, and Pablo must be kept on a lead or within a secure area while his recall remains unreliable.

Pablo is still young and has plenty to learn, but his biting behaviour cannot be overlooked. Finding the right home will depend on having people who can prioritise safety, understand his needs and give him the structured support he requires.
