Meet Pickle

Pickle is an 8-year-old tri-coloured Beagle boy looking for his forever home. ❤️

Pickle is a lovely, friendly boy who enjoys being out and about and getting involved in family life.

He absolutely loves walks, playing and searching for food, so his new family will need to enjoy keeping his Beagle brain busy with plenty of sniffing and enrichment. He can pull and become very excited on the lead, particularly when he sees other dogs, where he may howl with excitement. Off lead, he is described as playful with other dogs and he could potentially live with another suitable dog.

Pickle is not aggressive around food, although he can be possessive of toys when playing and will need this managed appropriately. He is also reported to be able to live with cats.

Pickle is house-trained and used to travelling. He cannot be left alone due to separation anxiety, so his new family will need to be around for him and be prepared to continue helping him build confidence with being left.

He can enjoy off-lead time, but only in secure enclosed areas, as he should not be trusted off lead in open spaces.

Pickle has previously suffered from pancreatitis, which has resolved, and he has been maintained on a low-fat diet. His new family will need to continue following appropriate dietary advice.

Pickle would suit:

A home where someone is around for most of the day
A family who enjoys walks and Beagle activities
Plenty of scent games, food searches and enrichment
Potentially a suitable resident dog following careful introductions
A secure garden and access to secure areas for off-lead exercise

Pickle is a lovely older Beagle with plenty of fun and affection to give. He is looking for a family who can give him the companionship he needs while continuing to support him with his excitement on lead and separation anxiety.
