Barney is an eight-year-old tricolour beagle who is searching for a new family. He is a gentle, easy-going boy who enjoys a quiet life and simply wants to be surrounded by people who will love him.
Barney is a friendly and affectionate beagle who enjoys human company and likes being around both people and other dogs, lives happily alongside other dogs and could also live with cats, making him a lovely addition to many family homes.
He is house-trained, crate trained and settles well when left alone for a few hours if needed. Barney is also happy travelling in the car and enjoys getting out and about. He walks nicely on the lead and can be let off lead in suitable safe areas.
Barney has no known health problems and, although he weighs around 20kg, he enjoys a comfortable, relaxed lifestyle. Around the home he is well mannered, is not destructive, Like most beagles, he enjoys his food but is not possessive around it.
He is friendly with other dogs both on and off lead and has never shown aggression towards people or other dogs. His calm, sociable nature means he would fit well into a home with other pets or as an only dog receiving plenty of attention.
Barney enjoys being around both people and other dogs and is happiest when included in family life. He sleeps indoors and is content to relax with his family after a stroll or a little time in the garden.
