Astrid and Rupert are a delightful pair of Beagles looking for a new home together.

Meet Astrid

Astrid is a beautiful Tan and white Beagle with a gentle and independent nature. She enjoys affection on her own terms and likes having her own space, but when she’s in the mood for cuddles she’ll happily snuggle up beside her favourite people. She has attended puppy classes, is fully housetrained, travels well in the car, and can be left alone for short periods.

Astrid enjoys being off lead in suitable secure areas and has good recall. She is playful with other dogs and generally sociable, although she can sometimes be vocal when meeting dogs on lead.

Meet Rupert

Rupert is a handsome tri-colour Beagle with a larger-than-life personality. At just 2 years old, he is full of energy, enthusiasm, and mischief. He loves playing, exploring, and being involved in everything his family is doing. Rupert is incredibly affectionate and enjoys cuddling up in bed with his owner after a busy day.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has good recall, particularly when food is involved. Rupert is happiest when he has plenty of attention and activities to keep him occupied.

Like many young Beagles, Rupert enjoys collecting household treasures, especially socks and tea towels, and if he’s bored he will happily find his own entertainment.

Life Together

As a pair, they bring the perfect balance of calm companionship and playful fun. Astrid provides the sensible, mature influence while Rupert supplies endless entertainment and affection. They enjoy each other’s company and would love to continue their lives together.

Potential adopters should be aware that both dogs can be opportunistic around food and should be fed separately. Astrid can be protective of food and toys around other dogs, while Rupert believes all food belongs to him. A home familiar with Beagles and their food-driven nature would be ideal.

A secure garden is essential, as both dogs have shown an interest in exploring and following their noses. Rupert has escaped before, and Astrid enjoys digging and investigating every corner of the garden.

Astrid and Rupert are looking for a loving home where they can remain together, receive plenty of companionship, enjoy regular walks and adventures, and then curl up for cuddles at the end of the day.
