Jarvis Ref 3519

Jarvis

Jarvis is a 4-year-old tricolour Beagle with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and enjoys nothing more than curling up on the sofa or sharing a bed with his favourite humans.

Personality

Jarvis is a loving and gentle dog who enjoys attention and companionship. He is playful, enjoys games of tug, and loves chasing and retrieving soft toys. He is also a very curious Beagle who likes to keep an eye on what’s going on around him and will happily watch the world go by from a window.

Living With Other Dogs

Jarvis currently lives with a Cocker Spaniel and gets on very well with other dogs. He enjoys saying hello and playing with canine friends and could happily live with another friendly dog.

Around People

Jarvis has never shown aggression towards people and is a friendly, sociable dog.

Training & Home Life

  • Fully housetrained.
  • Travels well in the car.
  • Walks nicely after an initial burst of excitement.
  • Used to wearing a harness.
  • Can be let off lead in suitable areas with dogs he knows.
  • Enjoys a daily routine and plenty of opportunities for rest.

Things to Consider

Jarvis suffers from  separation anxiety and finds being left alone very difficult. When left, he can become distressed, howl and chew household items. This behaviour continues even when another dog is present.

Because of this, Jarvis is looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day, or where his new family can gradually work on building his confidence when left alone. He would not be suitable for a home where he will regularly be left for long periods.

Jarvis is not crate trained and would prefer a home where he can have freedom within the house.

Ideal Home

Jarvis would love a home with:

  • Owners who are around for most of the day.
  • A secure garden.
  • Plenty of comfy places to snooze.
  • Another friendly dog (optional but welcomed).
  • People who understand Beagles and are willing to continue supporting his separation anxiety.

Favourite Things

  • Sleeping on the sofa or bed
  • Soft toys and games of fetch
  • Tug games with his doggy friends
  • Natural treats
  • Watching the world from the window
  • Being close to his people

Summary

Jarvis is a wonderful, affectionate Beagle who simply loves being with his family. His separation anxiety means he needs a home where he won’t be left for long, but in return he offers endless loyalty, affection, and companionship. With the right family, Jarvis will make an incredibly rewarding best friend.
