We find this poem both sad and comforting in those times x

If It Should Be
If it should be I grow frail and weak,
And pain should wake me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle can't be won.
You will be sad, I understand,
Don't let grief then stay your hand,
For this day more than all the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.
We've had so many happy years,
What is to come will hold no fears,
You'll not want me to suffer, so,
When the time comes, please let me go.
I know in time you too will see,
It is kindness you do to me,
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Do not grieve that it should be you,
Who has to decide this thing to do,
We've been so close, we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

In memory of our beloved belle who left us 6th December 2016, She was discovered at the age of 4 to have some form of IVDD Intervertebral disc disease. she had 6 weeks of cage rest and pain relief but still no joy even tho at times she showed us signs of recovery,

Belle was gentle to everyone she never hurt anything in her short life, She would hear the door go and greet who ever was there with plenty of love. we decided to put her out of pain than rather put her through an operation and cause her more pain she was a jumpy dog who cared for all, our hearts are left truly empty and broken, what an amazing beagle she was loved by many, we love her and miss her dearly....x

In memory of our darling Georgie who passed gently in my arms on 24 Nov 2016. You came to us through Beagle Welfare on 22 Jan 2011 and stole our hearts. You were the most gentle, affectionate and beautiful soul and your loss is unbearable. Run free sweet boy, your brave battle against the cruelest illness is over and you can rest at the rainbow bridge. We will love you always and cherish the years of joy that you brought to our home! With love from YOUR Ruprecht family that you owned from the moment we saw you xxx

We sent Oliver over the ‘Rainbow Bridge’ at 8 pm on Tuesday 26th April 2016. We squeezed every drop of life out of him. We had no idea of the huge hole he would leave in our lives. We miss him so much. Run free and be whole again. Goodbye our beautiful boy xxx

I adopted Dylan from your centre in Hampshire in 2002/3, he bought
much joy and heartache over the years but has left many people
with stories to remember him by.
He was sadly put to sleep on 22 May 2016.
Gone but forever in many peoples hearts.

last - and best - 6 years. We miss his character, love and appetite!
He and Harry left our lives with a huge hole, but it is one we can fill with many happy memories of both.

Poppy. You gave us many years of fun and devotion after coming to live with us. I still miss you, no one to help with the cooking, clearing up the kitchen floor or greeting me each morning with a stretch and wagging tail. Wait for me at Rainbow Bridge.

8 months on I know people say 'Get another Dog' - it's not that easy. I miss you so much.

Some say 'You're only a dog'. Those are the most hurtful words. You were my world for four years. Christmas is not the same without shouting 'TAZ DON'T TOUCH THE TREE!!!'
