Donations

If you are interested in helping progress the work of Beagle Welfare, or supporting us however you are able, there are many ways you can get involved. Please also see our Blog/News and Fundraiser pages where you can keep up to date with what we have been doing and what fun events are planned that you may wish to take part in.

Friends of Beagle Welfare

By making a regular donation to us, you can become a Friend of Beagle Welfare. Friends receive a copy of our twice yearly publication, ‘In Full Cry’, a magazine packed with information about what Beagle Welfare and its supporters have been up to, a fabulous read.

You can become a Friend by downloading the form here and returning it to Jane Ferguson at the address on the form.

How to make donations

All donations are very gratefully received.

Amazon Smile

Amazon will donate 5% of your purchases price to the charity of your choice. They also promise that they’re planning special event days where they’ll donate a higher percentage. All you need to do is to use the smile.amazon.co.uk website instead of the regular amazon website.

To get started, visit the smile.amazon.co.uk page and go straight to the search bar labelled ’Or Pick your own charitable organisation’ where you can type in Beagle Welfare and select it as your chosen charity. Amazon deals with everything automatically, so carry on shopping with Amazon Smile as usual.

Virgin Money Giving

Or you can donate or set up your own fundraising page on Virgin Money Giving click here.

Donate via CAF online

You can also now donate via CAF online, which is linked to our bank Charities Aid Foundation so donations come directly to us. You can do that donate here.

*Important Notice*

As from the 31st March 2019 JustTextGiving will not longer be available. These are the text codes and phone numbers that were on the back of the old fundraising t-shirts.

Here is the information from Just Giving:

“Since launching in 2011, JustTextGiving has been an incredible success. It has reinvented giving for many fundraisers and charities which both Vodafone and JustGiving feel enormously proud of.

However, with changes in consumer behaviour and new technologies, the use of this service has been overtaken by other emerging mobile trends. With that in mind, we wanted to let you know that we will be closing all JustTextGiving accounts next year.

This change will not take place until 31st March 2019, after which all text codes will be deactivated.

Why is JustTextGiving Closing?

JustTextGiving, in partnership with Vodafone, was the ground-breaking service of its time when it was launched in 2011, opening the market for donations by SMS and changed the face of fundraising for charities in the UK.

Since 2014 we have seen a decline in the use of the service and after careful consideration and an independent evaluation of the platform, JustGiving and Vodafone have jointly made the decision to bid farewell to JustTextGiving.

Can you still create JustTextGiving codes?

Yes, you can continue to use the JustTextGiving service as normal and create text codes up until 31st January 2019. All text codes will be active until the 31st March 2019.”

My advice would be not to donate via SMS (text) from today.

We do have other ways to donate, if this was your preferred method, then please contact me, fundraising@beaglewelfare.co.uk , and I can go through other options with you.

Thank you for your continued support – Mark Parker, Fundraising Officer

Amazon Wish List

If you would like to help the Beagles in another way than donating cash, you can send gifts directly to the Rehoming Centre by using our Amazon wish list. Clare at the Rehoming Centre keeps this regularly updated with food, treats and toys that the Beagles at the Centre would love to receive!

You can search Amazon wish lists for ‘Beagle Welfare’ or click here or on the Amazon logo below to go straight to our Wish List.

Easyfundraising

Easyfundraising does what it says on the tin! It makes fundraising easy! You can register with Easyfundraising and nominate Beagle Welfare as your chosen charity.

Then as you shop online, each purchase from qualifying stores will see a small percentage donated to us. It costs you absolutely nothing and it’s easy to do. You can even download a toolbar that reminds you when you are on qualifying pages so that your donation happens automatically. Easy! More information can be found on their website click here.

Donate when you shop at Ebay

We are now registered as an official eBay charity. If you are a seller on eBay you can choose the option to donate a percentage of the sale price to a charity of your choice from the list of official eBay charities.

Similarly, if you are buying an item, at the checkout you are offered the option of donating to your preferred charity. Happy shopping and selling!

Pets at Home

Pets at Home has a loyalty scheme so that you can get rewards as you shop. But did you know that they will also make donations to your nominated charity as you spend?

Sadly, due to a glitch, you can only nominate Beagle Welfare as your chosen charity if you register Stoke or Macclesfield as your home store. Please note that even if that isn’t actually your home store, it doesn’t make a difference, so please remember to choose one of those two options when setting up your reward card (or it’s simple to log on and change your details).

Recycling

We are delighted to say that we have now joined a recycling scheme and so by recycling your used ink cartridges and toners, you can both help the environment and help Beagle Welfare to earn a small commission on items that are recycled. To get involved, please visit The Recycling Factories Beagle Welfare.

All you need to do is download and print the freepost label and attach it to the packaging which contains your recyclable items, maximum weight limit is 750g per package, to recycling in larger quantities you can contact The Recycling Factory who will arrange a free courier collection service. For a full list of ink cartridges which they accept can be found here.
